*Waits for new Mitsubishi Prevo11*.... Half Prius Half Evo.

Mister Two 03-03-2011 11:04 AM

I reckon its probably gonna be bull... as long as they can make money... they will make the EVO.

If you look at the sales of the Sti compared to the base model Impreza R, I am not sure if they are making money.
When Subaru is selling something like 100 impreza R's a month compared to maybe one or 2 STi's. It's not a great investment for a manufacturer. (This is just a rough guess of WA btw)

Pretty sure WA sells more than 1/2 a month, go in any Subaru dealer and ask how long the wait list is for an STi.

Pretty sure I worked as a stock controller for Subaru Osborne park for 6months. So I worked with the figures of the cars being sold & what needs to be ordered each month direct from Subaru Japan.
They are on order all the time because they are expensive stock to have sitting around with no one buying.
In saying that, I worked there before the MY11 came out. Things might be different now.

As long as the Japanese and yanks still want STi's they will make them so never fear STi will still be here. :D

Sounds like a cheap ass dealership, we are holding 67 HSV's at the moment and not one is cheaper than an STI

Up untill december we had 6 W427's that retail for close to $180k (all gone now sadly!)

Edit: sad to hear that they are killing the brands icon though!
