Barbagallo Race Track with Subaru
 

I've been invited to the track to take a hot lap with Dean (?) of City Subaru and also to take my WRX onto the track too. I'm not sure I want to take mine out there; it's only 1 year old. What would you do?

Provided you have serviced you car according to the log book, a few laps isn't going to damage your car.

I got the invite but they gave me such short notice I can't make it. Fark I am spewing I would of loved to do a free track day and get Dean to show me how it is really done.

I thank you all for the offers of support and I'll keep you in mind. My reservations are based on the fact that the last time I drove a manufacturers' car on a track I thrashed the life out of it. Not to mention the amount of rubber I will no doubt lose.

All I hear is wah wah wah and a failure of pics of skids to load!

I doubt that your going to lose that much rubber from driving hard for half an hour.

I ruined a set of street tyres in 15 hot laps two tuesdays ago. Tons of surface tread left, but chewed the edges out hard and I run barely any camber.

Having said that, fucking do it, or sell your car and buy a Getz.
