Someone hit my car, what to do with insurance
Hi all, i had a quick read on here this morning looking at prefered repairers after some mupped reversed in to me (at an intersection) this morning, i rang up my insurance company and explained what happened, they didnt mention anything about a police report, do i need to do this?
one headlight was damaged, the front bumper, and one front spat, and one for light cover. What im actually posting this for is i think i would like to upgrade things, different bumper, front lip, and HID headlights, so how does one go about cash settling with the insurance company? Perth people need to learn not to reverse the wrong way up a F%$#^ ROAD! Appreciete the advice in advance. Jake. |
I suggest you to file a police report just so theres a copy of the accident somewhere.
You never know what kinds of things the other person could report, so it would be wise to file in a report of your side. Concerning the aftermarket bumper etc... It would depend on your insurance. |
You can report them online.

Be easier to chat about that with your repairer that way you're covered with the labor/paint costs, unless of course you have other arrangements.

Police report is only required when there is $3k or greater in damage.

I thought it was only 1k?

Correct 1k !! |
Talk to your panel shop about the extras, that way they can do the leg work for it all.
