Is me old RX65 worth keeping these days? Got my first speeding fine in ~5 years last week and thinking about putting it back on the dash

Seen a new camera set up in the back of a van yesterday.

I have also seen this van setup a few days ago so I wasn't dreaming then

Yup.

Worst case it will let you know you got fined.

I've had epic early warning with my 9500ix when there is a bit of traffic to scatter the lasers (pew pew) around.

There is a place in Perth that can install laser jammers which will jam the new speed cameras and laser using hand helds not sure if it legal or not and it is abit pricey but it defantly works.

try not to exceed the speed limit in areas known to have speed cameras

my escort x50 is only there so I can see what voltage I have :) and it looks cool and on the very rare occasion a hwy patrol pay pop on his dashboard radar and it will be pinging K band

Lucky for us, these vans stand out like balls on a dog. Seen a couple of them now. Massive volkswagon vans.

They are also commonly in the back of Nissan X-trails too.

My Valentine 1 is still giving me large warning distances against Poliscans (roadside or van / x trail based). I got an easily 300 meter plus warning on Selby Street yesterday.

It does also have some effectiveness against reverse setups. Occasionally if there is enough traffic travelling in the opposite direction I'll get a "scattered laser" warning. I certainly don't rely on that occuring.

my escort x50 is intermittent against the poliscan LASER. but when it does pick it up, i can get a good 5 sec warning. other times it goes off when im right next to it etc. its still more than voltage display for me!
