MY11 STi Isle Of Man

Heres a little vid i thought you guys might enjoy... this dude is seriously flying :)

STI Scoobi Going Fast
The Island of Man ( Not what you think ladies ) Tourist Trophy Circuit covers almost 38 miles and has over 300 twists and turns. Back when the records were first being made, the average speed of 38 mph through the course was the hotness. Now with speeds in the triple digits being the norm, things are a bit more exciting.

Awesome, nice find.
I reckon the Isle of Man has got to be one of the shit scariest race tracks around. With all the bumps, curbs, walls, cliffs and what not, there is not much room for error (as the video shows!).

I grew up on the Isle of Man, and when I came here I was shocked at how slow all the speed limits are over here. The simple fact is that the locals drive those same roads at 70mph (112kmph) in regular cars every day on their way to work. The corners, walls, cliffs etc are just part of normal driving and you grow up driving it and knowing the risks. If those same roads were in WA the speed limit would be 60kmph not 60mph.

I think it's that difference in driving culture that makes the Isle of Man (and the TT) so special for drivers. It's a place where you don't get nannied into driving slowly.

Mark is a fantastic driver that I've been watching at local rallies since I was a kid, so glad to see someone breaking Tony Pond's record that stood for so long! :)
