ECU choice's (So many..!)
Hi people,
Any suggestions on a good ECU for a 05 wrx. I Have a Wolf 3D i had on a Exa turbo but i don't really want to fit it to the rex as it's probaly abit out dated. Any knowlage about which one's have a good rep for mild tunes would be good. Cheers..! |
for a mild tune?
get a stock ecu and verso tune it second hand link(g3) or autronics there's more expensive ones you can buy brand new like vipec or a motec but you deffs wont need them for a mild tune |
ECUtek reflash, you don't need aftermarket management these days. Unless your planning to build a WRC car for the street.
But if you insist on it, I would say Link G4, Vipec, or maybe Autronic. |
Whatever ECU or software the guy who you are going to trust to tune it recommends.

Cheers guys,
I meant 2 say "Mild mods" instead of mild tune' as I'm not gonna go over the top on mods just yet.. When you say stock ecu with verso tune i'm guessing you mean the standard factory ecu that's already fitted..? |
Very true kouta..!
Some shop's will straight up recommend the product from the supplier that they have a deal with. I've gotta contact a few of the performance shops around and check availability..! |
mild mods just a reflash of you stock ecu will do just fine your choice ECUtek reflash or verso tune your pick.

We've got an Autronic SM3 that was in the rally car that we're looking at getting rid of cheap. PM if you're interested. Of the entry to medium level computers, we found the Autronic to be the best. The one we've got literally did half an event and about 40kms...

LOL @ wolf - would rather torch the car then drop a 3D in it
|
Get the factory ecu retuned. Search the million threads on here for Verso or ECUTek. No need for any other option on a street car these days.
