Decent Coilovers - Mainly Street Driven
All,
I know there are a few coilovers for the Subies that are around the $1000-$1500 mark, however I find them too harsh for a daily driver like my car is. Is there anything out there that is nice on the road, my missus will not get in my car, whinges her box off!! I was thinking the KW's... Any other suggestions please? cheers |
Just get some STD's Gav, but ask Mao for some softer springs
|
why not just choose a spring rate thats biased towards comfort, say 5/4 (close to stock sti i think)
thats what im going to do |
Some gaffa tape is cheaper than new coilovers :)
Will take your box whinging ones off you :P |
Isnt KW a high end brand and for track use mostly? Like Ohlins, DMS
HSD HS for street use or the STD one are pretty good My HSD HR on "soft" mode is pretty good daily |
I think Gav wants something more subtle where he can get full travel close to factory shocks.

Why would you even want coilovers on a mainly street driven car?
Serious question btw.... I noticed a big difference setting my STD coilovers from 75 stiff to about 25% stiff but to be honest, when someone that isn't into cars has a ride in mine (even on a soft setting) all you hear is "oh fuck its so uncomfortable" etc |
You are right on the money there.

Spec C struts with progressive rate springs
