What is the actual cost of freight from Tire Rack and do you pay customs if the tyres are say $900 and freight is $200 bringing it over the $1,000 threshold, also a rough time frame on arrival. And why is it no bastard makes 225/40/17' which is what I want.

Default tyres

Great people to deal with, cheaper than you can buy locally even after paying $120 for freight.

Freight not included in the taxable price. It's only the cost of the purchased items that get taxed. So if they are $900 then you shouldn't get taxed. I ordered a set of tyres from them at the end of last year in December, freight cost me $275 for 4 tyres and it took a week to get to me from when Rudy said he sent them. Left on a Friday and got to me Friday week.

This is correct I believe on till the end of this month.

However, for everyones information I went in to my local Bridgestone dealer to try and get some more nice RE070s. They are out of stock (all around Australia) and that tyre is discontinued

I have tried a couple of stores over east "sorry dont have those" "can't supply those tyres" . Might have to go overseas or another tyre.

Latest quote for shipping from Rudy was $388.8. Seems a fair bit more than the $275 quoted a couple of posts up (Which was a quote from end of last year).

Anyone else had a recent shipping quote from tire rack?
