ej207 block price at the moment

Has anyone had a look into a ej207 block prices in the last week or two as i am
in need of a new block after the floods yesterday. Engine did bearing or head damage after consuming water into cylinders. dropped oil and refilled and unfortunately noisy.

Removing engine this weekend and stripping down to check heads for damage.
Engine currently in car is a ej205 from a 2000 wrx .

any info would be appreciated .

Mate there are a large number of threads about this already.

Options you have may include but are not limited to:

- This forum;
- Gumtree;
- e-bay;
- JWS;
- <insert wreckers name here>;
- <insert dealership name here>;
- <insert Subaru specialists name here>
- Darren - Subaru Parts WA;
- JWS; and
- Possibly Rexnet.

I am unsure if Subaru Parts WA will be holding a lot of stock re: 207 blocks as when I got mine almost a year ago Darren was very eager to offload them.

Saw some 207 short blocks on the internet for $2500 brand new inc forged pistons. Can probably get cheaper 2nd hand, wreckers etc

I am all for internet shopping, but I would rather fork out a little extra $$$ for a short motor from STECHNIC, Race Torque, MMS, etc...

...peace of mind that I am dealing with the experts :)

Due to the dealership that was offering cheap blocks on e-bay 'whos' name escapes me', Darren has been offering competitively priced blocks to non-industry customers.
