Default 2000 GC8 or 2000 GDB?

Hey guys I'm looking for a wrx and I've found a 2000 GC8 in excellent condition with no mods apart from a 3" exhaust and I've found a 2000 GDB with absolutely no mods at all apart from cosmetic it's even got the stock exhaust.

I'm basically going to have this car for a year until my Toyota 86 arrives and was wondering which would you choose and is there much a difference between the GC8 and the GDB or is it all cosmetic opposed to minor mechanical? If you had to choose which one would you buy? They are both around the same price the GC8 is in excellent condition and the GDB is a bit rough around the edges of the body.

Cheers

GC for sure. Early bugeyes were pretty slow from what I believe.

GCs are lighter, and look better

Well the GDB has 130kms on it and the GC has about 180kms i think

I'm coming from a 4wd so really they all seem fast for me

All the difference I know between the 2 of them is that the GDB weighs another 150kg?? more and it looks a bit more modern.

Id personally go a gc8 over the gdb but if you're only going to keep it for a year then sell go with the best for resale value. If gdb can be tidied up maybe go that as the K's are lower.

We will more then likely keep it for longer then a year as my son will be getting his p's around the end of next year. I'm not really sure which one I like better they both seem like a good car and both look pretty good. Are there any differences between the models?

The first Gd's were shite

Gearing made them slower than the GC8, heavier and soft so they handled like shit.

GC8

Ahhh ok I'm paying around 7k for the gdb and 8.5k for the gc so gc all the way then?

I'm not looking for a race car just a reliable car that goes alright when i want it to, No matter what wrx I sit in and drive it just feels better then any other car and much more go then the current camry im driving.

on the 2002 model, I was told that they changed the gearing ratios around to offset this?
