CEL / AHG Warranty Issue.

Hi Guys,

Not entirely sure this is the right place, the CEL has come on my car which I'm happy to take to MMS to get checked out and see what the issue is. My only concern is that as I have bought the car from a dealer it still has the 3 month statutory warranty present and I don't want to loose that if I take it to MMS.

is there anyone from AHG Subi that can clear this up for me? will the warranty void if I take the car to be checked (not serviced) by a third party? My technical question is will they be able to read the errors off the ECU with ECUtek flashed?

Noob questions / did search but I think this is a strange query.

Thanks!

Cyrus.

ECUdatascan will tell you error code and clear.

All dealers and subaru mechanics will be able to read your code.

You can buy a OBD2 scan tool from Supercheap these days.

The code will tell you what the error is, then you can sort out warranty etc.

If you have ECUteked the car after purchase, you won't have a AHG warranty anyway.

Safe bet is to get the dealer to read the code or have MMS read the code, but if it is warranty related, don't clear the code.

WHy not just take it back to where you bought it from and get them to check the code?
The dealership wont just take your word for whats wrong.
If you want the fault repaired under warranty, if it is warrantable, then the selling dealer has to carry out the diagnosis and confirm the fault anyway.
You may be able to take it to an AHG Suby dealership and get them to carry out the diagnosis.
You should contact the selling dealer and see what they say

Thanks Guys,

I was just looking for a second opinion (another workshop) as they said they fixed the issue but it has popped up again after a week of ownership. So will be covered.

Take it back to the dealer, get them to pull the code from the car.
