Changing GC8 Spark Plugs? "Tips"
Hey Guys
Now I like giving things a go myself but if there is an easy way to go about it, then I''m all for knowing. Now, with my MY99 WRX does anything need to be removed to make it easier to swap the spark plugs out. Or do I just get in there from the top without having to remove stuff..? Cheers, Steve |
one one side remove the washer bottle and the otherside remove your airbox and air intake pipe
|
as above remove air box and water bottle, use an extension and you can get to them very easly
|
YouTube generally has great DIY step by step videos.
That's how I changed my top mount myself ;) |
Thankyou Peeps...

I didnt move anything when doing mine, but this is due too my laziness. I still got them, i think i got the passenger side, closest to the firewall one from the bottom side.....

I did mine a few weeks ago. I don't have my washer bottle in ATM but I didn't take the air of out. I used a 3/8 drive ratchet with a short extension. A lot less difficult than I expected.

Wobblie extension and wobblie spark plug socket will be ur best friend for this
|
Matt at Auto Pro in canning vale has an extensive range of KC tools for this task including a good range of spark plugs & leads. I spoke to Matt about this today
|
Pay someone else to do it.
