Default air fuel gauge problem.

hey guys ive acquired an autometer air/fuel gauge and am aware that i need a wideband sensor for it to function properly but as i already have the gauge all i need is the sensor and driver, i have found an aem uego sensor and controller on ebay but am unsure whether it would be compatible with my autometer gauge it says in the description it has a 0-5v rating?? any light you can help shed on the situation would be much appreciated cheers.

Post the exact model of meter, there are so many variants of widebandband sensors, using the wrong sensor would be pointless

That will work with UEGO sensor. You should go on the AEM website and search the part number. I'm pretty sure they have a built in controller.

the more i read about this air fuel gauge install the more lost i become and im not sure whether to just give up with gauge i have and buy a new autometer gauge and wideband sensor all in one or try and work on finding a driver for this gauge and installing that. Everything i read on them is so different.

if you have a narrowband afr gauge like this:

Amazon.com: Auto Meter 4775 Carbon Fiber 2-1/16" Narrowband Digital Lean - Rich Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge: Automotive

you can't hook it up to a wideband module/o2 sensor

if you have a wideband afr gauge with the bosch plug on it you need this sensor:
PROBE 4 AutoMeter 7178 AFR or LAMBDA Digital 2 1/16" 52 | eBay
