Passenger door lock
 

Hey guys

Locking my subaru this morning i realized the front passenger door wasn't locking. It's like it is jamed. When i lock the car all doors locked fine except front passenger.

I can lock the door from inside (or be it with alittle force) but unlocking it from the key won't work.

Anybody have any advice on a do ityourself fix. or will i need a auto electrician to have a look. I think its just mainly jamming, i can't even unlock/lock properly with the key

Probably a stuffed door catch/ central locking motor.

yeh i think stuffed door catch. Might cost alot to fix? the time it takes to pull the door trims out and replace. will have a look tomorow.

For the time being since its a weekend only car, i just leave the door locked. Its not a urgent problem to fix but annoying. More worried about fixing the clutch on my daily .

Its a 2002 WRX club spec evo 5

WHen i press the lock key the passenger door moves but it doesn't click into place, looks jammed. When i try lock it inside by hand it moves freely like its not clicking. I have to put some force on it to lock it from inside.

But it just stays that way when i try lock/unlock with key, doesn't unlock. All other doors fine though
