Default Remembering My Friend Steve Wisby

October 1 saw the 12 month anniversary of the passing of my good friend and Maximum Motorsport stalwart, Steve Wisby.
Very fittingly, Rob Herridge brought the Forester home in 2nd place outright, 1st in Safari Production and 1st WA Driver in the 2012 Australasian Safari which concluded on Saturday...the Safari was Steve's last passion and the 2012 result would have made him very, very happy.
Rest peacefully mate, you are not forgotten.

EXPLICIT, tuna, Sethor and 35 others like this.

A VERY long time since I have been on here and indeed even involved with cars.

I remember the phone call I got from Leigh Hynes while I was coming back from QLD informing me that Wizza had passed away and I almost crashed the truck in shock.

I remember all the good times we had when I was part of the Maximum crew, from being involved with Rob and Steve back in the days at Beach road , helping Rob drive the trucks, navigating for Dean ,working at Maximums, running Rallymax with Rob and various other participations including even managing Leighs RMS. The WHOLE time there was Wizza in the background, giving advice, encouragement and genuine no bullshit friendship. I still cannot believe it has been more than 12 months and even though I no longer am involved with cars, true people like Steve are NEVER forgotten.
May you forever RIP and I am proud to have been considered a mate.
