Thus why I changed out the OK VTiR parts for TYPE R parts handled like a go-kart and was pretty quick (fast enough to get me in trouble) and at the end of the week $25 top-up to get me through the next week!

Yes, but VTEC > MIVEC. Just because HONDA got it so right in the Type R and many others (NSX, CIVIC R, ETC)

Incorrect.

Its just that Honda put the system in some hero cars.

A Evo 9 is Mivec and would shot on anything Honda has made bar perhaps a NSX-R

I understand that, but HONDA perfected it thus making those cars so great. I am not saying its the fastest just that it is arguably more refined...

EVO 9 = Turbo Variable Cam, so no doubt it would be a killer combo.

NSX = NA Variable Cam, you can't hide any imperfections behind a turbo

Arguably you are totally incorrect

VTEC utilizes cam-changing only. It is older tech and was pretty much adopted from Porsche Variocam back in the day.

It has been outdated since by i-vtec.

vvtl-i as per the 1zz in my sportivo use cam changing and timing variation. Mivec also does to some extent and as such would be more "refined" than vtec.

Just cos it has a cult following doesnt mean its the best. Like Subaru actually.
