I would defiantly get the last, dark blue gc8 in that list mate. Sounds like a responsible owner. I would stay away from the ones with after market body kits and go fast bits and try keep it stock looking. Me personally, clean and stock always looks better, and for some reason less aged than one with aftermarket wheels and spoilers etc. but that's just my opinion

I'm waiting for rocks to be thrown at me for that last comment

Had a look at this one and drove it today = seems ok, all the tyres will need replaced soon though and it felt constipated/ restrained = cause of the stock exhaust I would think ? so acceleration a bit disapointing. I like the usual WRX sound they make but this one made hardly a peep,LOL! though I think mechanically would be good.

Clean 99 Subaru WRX Sedan GC8 | Cars, Vans & Utes | Gumtree Australia South Perth Area - Waterford

Does anyone here know anything about this one, I'm liking this cause it already has nice Wheels/Brakes/ Stainless Exhaust. Though its done nearly 260,000, which is getting up there!

The first one, I would inquire if the 200,000km service has been done as it can be costly...

The 2nd one I wouldn't get, a 14-15 year old car with near 300,000kms unless maintained to an extremely high standard may cause future problems...

Just my 2 cents

Damn!, Just got an email back from the owner of this
1998 Subaru WRX SedanR | Cars, Vans & Utes | Gumtree Australia Canning Area - Ferndale and says they service it every 10,000km! not 5,000 so I suspect mechanically not to great these days!?. Says he and his father in law did the 200,000km service themselves so no reciepts, so the search continues

I have looked into this before due to concerns with other cars. I haven't found a way to "unwind" a digital speedo (and associated parts) yet. Granted nothing stops people from pulling them from another and swapping them but seems to be a slightly tedious task. IMO
