EGT fault code help

Hey guys, hoping someone can tell me what exactly this fault code means and if I can still drive my car.

Drove down to Pemberton today and got a engine light come on a couple hours in when I was driving through some hilly sections . Was driving in 5th gear around 100-110k/h. Connected my phone to the OBD and it said fault code P0546 and something along the lines of exhaust gas temperature high (bank 1).

Did a quick google on the side of the road and it seemed like nothing too serious or dodgy sensor, so cleared it, waited 10 minutes for it to cool down and continued on.

This happened 2 more times in hilly areas, even with trying to keep the throttle/boost down by driving at 80-90. Does anyone have any insight on this problem? a lot of google results suggests a dodgy sensor. is it safe to drive my car back to Perth?

My car (MY02) has a 3" TBE, decatted up pipe and verso tune. Only have my phone with me so sorry if any typos.

Had the same problem with my bugeye when I had the asg tune done took it back to them, they fiddled with the wires said it was fixed. Had no issues for a few days problem came back after a few days, removed ecu and have been running aftermarket ever since no codes then.
