Go for it mate, if you find a nice 06/07 model that's well kept no damage with low kms, don't think twice because someone else will nab it in the meanwhile.

My two cents though - Check if the timing belt/spark plug service has been done, if not try to get them to do it for you for free for you to buy it.(not sure they'll do it for free but worth a try!)... You should do this service at 4yrs or 100,000kms whichever comes first...but you will find that most low km 06/07s haven't had it done (stingy owners + not reached 100,000km)...for peace of mind you'll have to get it done after you buy it anyway if they don't know if it's had that service done(or when it was done!). If it's been done then all good.
FYI Timing belt isn't due until 125k on '06+ Models

better off selling your car separately instead of doing a trade in. also, do some more shopping.. 21k for a cs9?
Whats Low K's?
If its the Subaru Wangara one its at 128 000 kms.

RJ999 14-11-2013 10:51 PM

Sure whatever 100 or 125, I just call it the 100k big service...still every 4 years or if the kms comes first!...point is to get them to do it free ;)

Wooaa what a rip off for a cs9 with 128,000 kms at $21k....u serious??? Shop around or beat them down on price

Thats not low k's. Dont rush into it just because its their and the dealer is telling you he has had heaps of interest in it. Best thing you can do is look at what else is on the market. If the above car sells in the mean time, it just wasnt ment to be. But if you know its the one and you have no doubts then buy it. I like to keep my eye in the market and that is not a bad price for a CS9, epsecially if you can weasel it down abit more.

How has no one else commented on how over priced it is???

$21k will net you an STi

JRecardo 14-11-2013 11:00 PM

06 STi's go for ~$20k? Just asking as I have seen 02-05 model STi's go for that much lately, maybe I need to look around more. That's cool, it's why I ask people more in the know than myself. :D

I figured $21k would be on the higher side of things, I wasn't planning on driving with it at that price, but what would be reasonable? $18-19?

EDIT: And yeah, I'm definitely not set on this one dream car that I simply must have. As it is I have a nice car that drives well and is very reliable that I am happy enough to drive back out of the yard with. This is just a really clean, stock model that if the stars align in the right way I will be happy to take home

Jeckle 14-11-2013 11:03 PM

Own a 06 STi, 126K isn't low km, I've got 108K.

Don't like STi being worth $21K or less, how the valves have fallen in 3 yrs.:(
