From Redbook for a 06 CS9

Private Price Guide $15,700 - $18,000
* Trade In Price Guide $12,300 - $14,600
* Average Km 110,000 - 180,000
* Price When New $44,490*

Just for reference my 06 WRX is under 75 000 kms and was less than 56 000 when I bought/

I didn't say low, I said lower haha.

126 vs my current 195

But I will take all of what you guys have said into account when I go back in on Saturday. Whether that turns out to be ammunition for price cuts or a reason to just walk away will be seen. I appreciate the help

Whatever you do don't get suckered into buying the "extended warranty" they're worth less than the paper they're printed on... Just do a search on here and you'll see why.

Imo you should sell privately then just buy an STi for a few grand more than what the CS9 is going for.

I did!

I don't think 21k will net a good low km unmodified one though

Taken on board mate. The only issue I have with selling privately is that I do really need to have a car. It gets me to work for a start, I used to hitch a ride with my dad while he went to his job but now we work entirely different hours so that doesn't work. I could organise something for a week, but going weeks/months without a car while I'm inbetween selling mine and finding something worthy of replacing it will be difficult.

In my mind screwing a half decent deal on a car that I like will be a good compromise. I definitely won't be taking $6k for my car and signing up for $21k on this one though.

Upgrading from one GD series WRX to another....what's the point.

If you aren't interested in an STI, i'd say there are better options out there for that price range, considering you already own a WRX.

EDIT: Is it an option to buy another car first and then sell yours after? That's what i've always done...

Yeah I see what you're saying.

This time next year that might be possible, I really don't want to take out a loan for it when I don't need to. Which might just be the way to do this, but in the next 12 months I will have a bit of work needing done to the 02 so I'll need to weigh up the costs lost vs gained. 200k km service for example
