Default Long road trip??

Hey guys I was wondering what you guys do when you have to take the girl on a road trip and you might not stop near a BP petrol station or any for the matter that sells 98 octane fuel that your car has been tuned to? The only idea I hv is to plan the trip so that doesn't happen or buy octane booster cans? Any ideas cheers

Have taken my wrx to monkey Mia before. Just search bp petrol stations on google maps, you will see there are heaps! I had no problems. Just mark them on the map before you go so you know roughly where to stop on the way

I went up to Shark Bay and Coral Bay in a Prado (Was planning to use the Mazda but couldn't turn down a brand new Prado). Once you get past Kalbarri 98 can be harder to find, but as JEZZA said just work your route out according to petrol stations.

Also never pass up the chance to top-up. Never know when the next one will be

You can also employ Destroyer tactics ie. Fill up every time you can no matter how full the tank is.

Octane booster can be very destructive to platinum spark plugs or so I am led to believe and I personally would never trust it. If I can get a car across the Nullabor using 98 I am sure you will be able to sort the same to most locations.

BP site also shows what fuel each station has available.

Be aware that pricing will go up for remote areas!
