Default Stolen STI

Does anyone know anyone that has had their STI hatch pinched recently?

Saw this near work today.

One of the rear calipers has completely melted. I would suggest all that is salvageable is the front calipers (will need a respray and new seals), the gearbox. Im sure the CV's are stuffed but the the driveshafts will all be fine.

Heard about the theft from my Father In Law who works with the Police. Poor owner, I really hope it was insured.

I was very tempted to pick it up with the Manitou and pinch the good bits out of it with the cordless rattle gun but alas I did the righty and left it for someone else to strip.

The vin melted hard.

Id reckon the engine number will still be ok.

Looks like fire started around the fuel tank filler.
