Hey guys I'm fairly new to this fourm and so far I'm loving it I'm checking out all the discussions and drive way posts and just reading up heaps

I just wanted to share to you my 01 wrx
I picked it up a few weeks ago and the first drive in it was amazing! Just all the power it puts out, the idol at the lights the way it handles just loved it! And ever since then each time I drive it I can't help but smile!

I think the modding bug is getting to me haha so I'm just gonna start of with cosmetics and build my way up and take it one step at a time!

Look forward to the future and what's in stall for my wrxy! Have to get a cruise going on soon!
Look forward to meeting a lot of you guys a learning and gaining heaps of info!

For suspension/handling, it's the same as most performance cars.

Swaybars, bushes, coilovers if you're keen otherwise a good strut/spring combination.
Some decent parts out of the Perrin/Whiteline catalogue.

Braking:

Good pads/fluid/rotors for the most part. Upgrade calipers if you've got the coin.

Appearance:

MY02 STI Projectors with HID
02 STI Scoop
Front Lip
Rims, hundreds of options

I went wingless but it's personal preference.

Power:

Upgrade Intercooler, TMIC for the most part (with waterspray)
Turbo, something streetable without too much lag.
Silicone Inlet to Turbo
Cold Air Intake, not required but optional. No major performance gains.

Injectors, STI 565s, decap them if you want. Otherwise lots of other options.
Fuel Pump
Consider E85.

ECU/Tune - Replacement ECU for E85, otherwise just remap the existing for BP98 etc. Verso.

Full Turbo Back Exhaust System, search this forum for Butler exhaust
Make sure you do the Up Pipe on the MY01 as they have a cat in them which is shit.

Lots more, but that will get you started and blow a few months salary.
Check out the Garages thread so you know the best places to get work done.

Just depends on what you want from the car in the long term. If it's your daily drive, keep it streetable.
