I'm not naive enough to think that If a clever criminal has has spotted the car and ha s resources available then they will be able to take it. It's more the homeswest / opportunity thefts I want to be deterring. And yes i love that car more than anything else in the world! (except the misses if she reads this - hi)

Brant armed; keys concealed in house; fully insured....at the end of the day it's only a car and if it is stolen hope it is trashed, collect insurance and move on...
Saying that there is an '05 STI around the corner from my place that is always parked on the street nad has been so for the last couple of years...and it was still there this morning. Mind you it's not Vic Park though!

Speaking of the Brant I've been having an issue where the remote stops working completely so won't unlock the car no matter how many times you try. Then when I unlock manually and open the door the alarm goes off. Putting the pin in / key in doesn't do anything and I literally wait like 10 minutes then try the remote again and it starts working again. Going to try the remote battery first.

I had the same problem with mine. Changed the battery and all is good. Its a 1620 type battery in case you need to know.
