[URL="http://www.autoblog.com/subaru/"]Subaru[/URL] has made another trip to the infamous [URL="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/isle+of+man/"]Isle of Man TT[/URL], bringing along its all-new [URL="http://www.autoblog.com/subaru/wrx+sti/"]2015 Subaru WRX STI[/URL]. The goal? Best the already impressive time set by rally ace [URL="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/12/27/subaru-record-setting-wrx-sti-2011-isle-of-man-video/"]Mark Higgins and the 2011 Impreza WRX STI [/URL]on the same swirling, high-paced ribbon of tarmac. Of course, [URL="http://www.autoblog.com/2014/06/04/subaru-wrx-sti-isle-of-man-lap-record/"]you already know how that went[/URL].

What we didn't know when the story first broke, though, was that Subaru was monitoring data. Specifically, Higgins' data. He was fitted with a monitor that would record his heart rate, breaths, skin temperature and the g forces he was faced with as he lapped the 37-plus-mile road course. While Higgins and Co. were aiming to best [URL="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/06/09/subaru-obliterates-isle-of-man-lap-record-with-stock-wrx-sti/"]their 2011 time (19:56.7)[/URL], this year's effort also saw a push to beat the time of the sidecar racers.
