Personally I don’t like using electrical tape as it deteriorates over time and leaves sticky residue if you try to remove it later. I would use either of the following Cable ties, Heat shrink, Rubber splicing tape, Split or Spiral conduit

Heat shrink gets my vote...

okay whats the best way to do this as the wires are in the engine bay and also where ya get it from?

heatshrink for the win... go to coventry's, allanco (kewdale) any general auto shop would have it.. but the size is a question.. best to pop in and scope out the sizes u need... and make sure u get a hold of a heat gun!!... dickie smithie brand sells for 20 bux..

might find it hard to get the heat shrink on the cables as there probably already connected to something unless you want to pull it appart but otherwise looks good but expencive. spiral wrap would be easier to install but you can only get it in clear i think.
