Best EBC under $400.00
 

Hi All,

chasing some feedback on the best value for money electronic boost controller.

I have checked out the Hybrid and Gizzmo EBC's.

The hybrid can be picked up for approx $300.00 on ebay and the Gizzmo is about $380.00.

Any ideas, or suggestions for other EBC's.

i had a hybrid on my car when i first got it, it holds boost well and hiding it is easy.
though the wires connecting to the solinoid are only rated at 150c, uncarefull mounting of the wires caused me to blow 8 fueses and melt the unit. if its put in properlly its a good buy.

If you search hard, and find a massive bargain, profec b can be had for dead on 400, mine was a brilliant unit :)

i got a blitz SDBC spec-r damn they are awesome! i can swear by it

i think ya can get the spec S which is single solonoid for bout $400

all the workshops in perth recommend this EBC...

The AVO /Terry Wilsons, Turbo World, Electronic Boost Controller that I have for sale IS the best value at $250 ono.

Simple adjustment / setup with a 3 port solenoid. No fuzzy logic etc, just a knob for more or less boost :) subtle but effective.

This is the hybrid unit i put in my car

It Piggybacks the ECU and uses all the standard sensors and solenoids and even has a built in boost cut lifter

Bargain for$160 new

It is designed specifically for WRX only, but i managed to get it working on my RS


Originally I used to hit max boost of 12psi on a vf12 turbo at 3300rpm

Using this EBC, I can hit 12psi at 2800rpm now.

Dude, BLITZ dual SBC all the way... never spike and easy to use

I've been running the gizzmo ibc for round a month now, has been great, can adjust gain for fast spool up and they are a great price, cool digital boost gauge to!!

In saying that are most EBC a boost gauge aswell or give you a accurate reading on boost pressure?

Because i want to get a boost gauge but if thats the case i might aswell just buy a EBC and have 2 in one . . .

Your ebc will be a very accurate reader, as the boost passes through the soleniod which gives it the reading, or a direct line in, depending on model.
