Default So let's talk about anti lag

Okay guys so here's some back story, when I bought my wrx I was told this mysterious switch was disconnected. So temptation got to me and I tried it, went to clutch in a boom it jumped to 7000 rpm on its own, if this is anti lag I didn't think it functioned in such a way I could be wrong

using the Perth-WRX mobile app

Without any throttle input though?

I could understand if the switch engaged / disengaged a secondary rev limiter while stationary, but for it to rev on its own seems daft.

Agreed, seems odd.

OP, do the revs hold at 7k with clutch engaged or spike then fall?

I'll be driving and when I clutch in it will rev to 7k and yeah just hold there, I wouldn't want to try it from launch as 7k takeoff could break the transmission

I am struggling to think of a situation where having a WOT switch would be helpful.

Maybe it was tuned to do AL or LC in the past and the switch is now faulty or has been deactivated (unsuccessfully)?

Is there anyway you can contact the owner or (even better) contact the workshop whom worked on and tuned the car. They should have some idea of the function.

Going to have to agree with you on that, I've never heard of a switch that behaves like this one so it's strange, would have been cool if it was LC or something but ah well thanks for the help everyone might just stay away from it
