Old vs New performance

Hey guys, just got a question
I know the new STi's run rings around the older GC8 STi's. Cant argue with bigger brakes, better suspension etc.
Im just wondering how their straight line performance is compared to the older Version VI STi (I own one)
I know the version 6 was one of the fastest performing for 0-100kph runs but how are they today? Anyone in a modern one raced one at the motorplex.
Im just really curious to know if the old girl can still give the newer models a run for there money in a straight line. Surely 1280kgs has to have some advantages....

Google search suggests low 13's.
WRX = 13.8s
STI = 13.1s

Suggests there wouldn't be much in it.
