Bel Sti
Quote:
I was in El Paso Texas end of last month for the annual speed meassurement labs radar shootout. It was certainly an eye opener and was great to not only attend but participate in the testing over the three days. I am in the process of uploading all my video footage to my site, but I can assure you the Sti was 100% invisible to all four RDD's that were trialled (against 14 different detectors). The performance of the Sti was BLISTERING and very very impressive. It had as good as, if not better, performance as the Escort X50. The other detector I was very impressed by was the Valentine One. The rear antenna's give it a much better range from radar sources coming from the rear. They also tested laser, of course, and one such test was targeting a car at 1000 feet, and seeing if the car behind (the targeted car) laser detection went off. In every single radar / laser detector test (each unit was given three runs) the secondary car behind the one targeted did NOT go off except once!! Only one time did you get any warnign from a car being targeted in front of you. By the way the unit that this happened on was a V1. I have some great footage of the Blinder laser jammer working as the car drove up to the police officer using it. I expect SML will update their site in the next few weeks with the 2006 data. Jez |

well the cops might be on work to rule atm... but the multinova operators sure arent ! Ive been driving around last few weeks without spotting any cameras... and last night my detector went nuts 3 times..
first time we were expecting it as they had said on radio there would be a camera on canning hwy... but sneaky fuckers would have been making a fortune... raining.. dark.. and they have it covered in the big raincoat and put in front of a tree... couldnt even see the sign after it... wouldnt have noticed if not for detector. second one... omg.. if i didnt need detector it would go straight to the pool room !!! Hepburn ave... they normally have it hidden in bushes as you go down the hill.. last night... hidden same deal as above... but bus stop hiding it... detector went nuts and saved my ass again ! love my lil detector so much ! third time was somewhere just before the narrows... where all the roadworks are.. still coudlnt see it though. revenue raising arseholes. hiding them more now coz supposedly cops arent handing out fines - only warnings

Yeh I have turned off X band, now K band goes nuts! You can turn it off but it automatically comes back on

If you have turned off K band, but are still getting K band false alarms, try turning off SWS too. SWS (Safety Warning System) usues a modified K band signal so leaving this on will still allow the detector to register some K band false alerts..
Dont forget, Highway Partol still use K band in their cars... so be careful if you turn it off completley |

I think the road angel is more for the eastern states fixed cameras. It works on gps so would be useless for our mobile multanovas / cop cars... Would probably tell you where red light cameras are... but they are well signposted and you're a tool if you go through red lights anyways...
