What did you get for your WRX today?

I thought I would make this thread for people to post what they have bought or received recently for their pride and joy.

Doesn't matter if its something big or small, post it anyway.

RichX 07-09-2015 08:03 PM

I'll start small.

I had a slow leak in the left rear. Got a new "legit" Work valve stem installed. #streetcreds

On the bright side, I don't have to put 20 pound of air in once a week now and check the tyre every time I get in.

Surprised BP don't charge for air come to think of it.

2DIE 07-09-2015 08:09 PM

I got a few things in the mail today.

It was $220 from Planet Soarer (in Adelaide), I just posted it there and he posted it back even though its not that far from me.

From what I've read the guy did OEM wheels for Mitsubishi and Holden/HSV.

And this is the reason for the new engine (death rattle on the McRae sprints) this sump was binned as too hard to try and get all the bearing deposits out of all the nooks "n" crannies

munya 28-09-2015 08:34 PM

Be careful when leaving it out in the sun. Member on here has had his Ultrex lip warp on him.

Have owned one previously for the Hawkeye.. No warping.. Not to mention the thing is garaged & undercover 90% of the time so don't think it will be an issue.. Even if so in the unlikely circumstance, I'm sure Rob would look after this community.

STi Group N Engine Mounts arrived today. CMA shipped them very quickly. Interested to see if these make any noticeable difference, and more importantly stop some issues I have.

Havent seen one warp when on the car. PU can warp in the box in transit if its hot..but lay it flat in the sun for an hour - it will soften and then install and should be all good.

We make them soft so they have flex in them and dont break when you scrape it :)

Hey there had similar experience actually with mine. Had no idea about the the sun thing at the time.

Maybe include that enclosed in the box? all I know when it was originally installed it fit fine. But later had a massive gap which means it happened to be bent during the time of install but not to a point where i could see that it was.

Reinstalled it but had to put more holes in my bumper.
