2016 Forester tS confirmed for Oz
 

Will be interesting to see what it drives like, pity it comes with a CVT box instead of an STi 6 speed...

These will sell out pretty quick though considering there's only 300 to be made.

I recall being told that there are ducts in the front of the car that tunnel the air to the tmic. They said they removed the scoop because people were trying to avoid the "racer" look when buying these as a family car. (can't remember which dealership told me that a few years ago).

Pretty much the same place as it was before.

Correct!
There is a scoop behind the front grill that directs air up under the bonnet (via some ducting) and over the intercooler.

You can see two small voids either side of the bonnet latch mechanism, that is where the air is scooped and pushed up into the ducting under the bonnet.

Sorry but for me "sti " its the meaning of race, rally, speed, no family issue,no a taller suv.

Wonder why they don't consider a fmic?
