Options for a regular meet and banter

Hi people ,
as has been discussed recently many of us dont want this forum or community to die . As an indication please select an option in the poll to show what kind of regular activity you would like to partake in .:) Yes im happy to organise something and im sure some of you out there will help

Sounds like a plan. Would be good to have a variety of the above, on a regular basis.

I think monthly would be good to start with, gives time to arrange the next meet.

Yeah monthly also seems to be the most practical for everyone ATM I think I'll organise the first one in January. Have a chat with everyone then go from there

Bring back Friday Lunch/Banter sessions.

The odd poker night here and there.

Every month or 2 an RAC track session

Karts?

hell yeah. ultra fast karts in henderson is alright. track is good fun. karts arent exactly what i would classify as 'ultra fast'. But they go alright and are a pretty good match to the layout of the track.

Plus its a good challenge as supposedly the karts are all fairly well matched. So your not just racing the guy with the biggest budget, but actually racing the guy with the best skills.

(i won last time i went with my work group:))

My thoughts exactly regarding the your second sentiment.

The food run + banter option is what builds the community as it creates relationships. So that's a goer!

Just remember that the regular (i.e. monthly) track day stuff may be limiting in terms of new participants because you will only ever get the demographic that are willing to track their cars (The poll results show this: everyone who has voted for 'monthly track day' already does track work and mostly know each other).
However karting is a bit different as people are not tracking their cars so you open it up a bit.

Did the kart place near barbs last weekend with about 13 others, 'ultra fast karts' and we had 4 races of 6 laps each. Was heaps of fun and all the karts were the same speed so very even. Recommend.

I would be keen to meet other members on feed and cruises however would rather something like a lazy Sunday morning for breakfast. Saturdays don't work too well because it follows a Friday night out on the town.

I am keen in the following;
• Go karting (looking to join a karting club for 2016 most likely at Cockburn),
• Track days (WA Sprint Champs or Sprintkhana),
• A couple of drags (Whoop Ass Wednesdays),
• Coffee and Cars (I don't see many subarus there - hopefully we can change this?),
• Online racing (Gran Turismo, Project Cars PC, Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa), and
• Other online multiplayers on PC (COD, Battlefield, Payday, AOE, Starcraft)

Keen for karting. Did it for my 30th and was a lot of fun at Henderson. Also keen to see a few more at cars and coffee when I can make it. The weekly/fortnightly/monthly food run sounds good as well
