Haven't received any notification in regards to a recall for a 2014 MY15 Forester XT Premium.
Car was recently serviced by City Subaru and there was no mention of the recall, a phone conversation with Subaru Australia (1800 226 643) was able to confirm that my car is not part of the recall.

I have read that this recall was for cars built January 2015 onwards, but I can't seem to locate the article that mentioned this.

Recall notice can be found here but with very little detail.

Yeah I got a letter in the mail during the week. I've read that it was WRX's built between April and October 15.Though the intakes were a small batch that were made from the wrong materials by the supplier, so no definitive VINs or build dates. Luckily mine was already going for its service next week.

Might be buying a MY16 XT, hopefully not affected, or fixed before I take ownership.

Be a good excuse to get a silicon intake fitted for free. When you get the recal, go in there with an aftermarket intake in your hand and ask them to fit it instead of the replacement standard item. (They probably say no, but maybe? )

If it's new, should be fine as it was a small batch of intakes used on cars built April 15 to October 15. Think those dates were XT too

Doubt they would put an aftermarket intake on, but you could ask. Of course probably voiding warranty.
