3mm Spacers/Hubcentric
Hi People
trying to source some 3mm spacers to clear brembos. needs the ones to fit 5x100. So far I only found some 3mm at supercheapauto, but they are a bit big 90mm vs 56.1 mm not sure if they even fit. Are there any other places to look for? I need 3mm as I don't want to go any bigger for safety reasons and not to mess up the offset. Ty |

If you cant find any ready to go. I know a place that makes them bespoke. Wheelmods.com made me a set of hubcentric dual pcd spacers. Had 56mm inside diameter and 73mm to match the wheels center bore. Basically a spacer and a hub ring in one.
But I dont think your gonna beable to get hubcentric spacers in 3mm. There will not be enough clearance (thickness) off the original hub lip to have a new hub lip aswell. (Unless you do what i did and go to a larger size hub lip... no good if they are oem rims) You will probs need to move upto about a 5mm minimum to beable to have a functioning hub lip.

Or buy wheels with the right width and offset to clear the brembos.

I remember going down this road with 3mm spacers. Essentially I bought new wheels in the end to avoid having to buy extended wheel studs, as there just wasn't enough thread under the wheel nuts for me to feel comfortable.

I have two 3mm spacers, 5x100.
Send me a PM if you want to buy them. |

surely 3mm would not cause any serious problem. There is plenty of thread left on studs. My wheels do clear brembos, but the clearance is shocking, there is like hair thin gap betweek the spokes and a caliper. I will feel much safer with 2-3 mm gap.

You want about 8 turns minimum i think on each nut. Undo one of your wheel nuts and count the number of turns until it unscrews form the stud. Then multiply this by 1.25 (subaru thread pitch). This will tell you how long your studs poke from the rims. Then subract 3mm from that. Then divide that number by 1.25. If its less than 8. Then it wont work safely. If its more then it *might* work safely.

I have been checking nasioc and other subaru related forums and there is a lot of positive feedback about 3mm spacers. 3mm is the max you can safely go with stock studs. People recommend using H&R or Eibach spacers which is made from alluminuim/magnesium alloy
Now I just need to find them...which is a bit challenging. |
