Hi, I have a Subaru wrx my01 (bugeye). Ive found that I have a Link ecu installed.

What I require is to know if I need a cable or something? Reason is no one can read the ecu. A fast response would be appreciated.. Thank you

It's a long drive from Newcastle...

Nice score. I bought a blown motor v6 STI for 6k and it had a $3000 Vipec v88 in it. I was over the moon. I got a replacement cable from one of the online shops... Tunehouse - Link Ecu it's a locking type USB cable from memory. What I did was ask them for a replacement cable and it was about $120 I think.

That's a G1 Link, called a 44S, it requires a special cable, its not a USB. Its called a SerialLink. Not available to buy anymore.
Plus you need a serial port on the computer to use it, which most laptops don't have anymore.
I would look on the Link website and find your nearest Link agent. They will be able to help
