Another GC8 exhaust opinion thread - opinions wanted

I've done a bit of research most of it is a bit old now and I'm looking for an update and opinions before I drop possibly over $2k on an exhaust install.

Most of my decisions were based on the below thread, among others.
http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/general-subaru-discussion/56866-gc8-exhaust.html

My Options I've been considering are:

Hitech twin tip $1800 plus installation.

Ultrex single tip $1250 installed

Second hand Butler single tip $900 installed

All the above are turbo back stainless systems with hiflow cats.

I'm really after a twin tip to keep the WRX looking fairly stock. I'm wanting to hear the Subie rumble while driving but not interfere with music or conversation and little to no drone. Currently I can't hear the stock WRX MY99 exhaust when windows are up or over wind noise. I don't want to strain my ears in order to hear the rumble but I don't want it too loud either... early morning starts.

I want to find the best fit for my needs, I don't mind paying but I don't want to needlessly pay if not required. I'm leaning heavily towards the Hitech and hoping twin tip keeps a good sound with the look I want. Performance improvements are a bonus. Any recommendations or advice will be appreciated?

There are a few Magnaflow systems out there for GC8 and they do a twin tip exhaust as well. This is their twin 3" muffler but I'm pretty sure they do a 2.5" tip version as well. No videos of sound unfortunately, but they are great systems.

Thanks rexxxed 2.0 that sounds pretty mean :) Probably louder than what I'm after. I'm after the more classic sound, however I like them all. In the end my partner wants me to try and cap the loudness, but I need to hear something more than stock.

Those 3 inch twin pipes look pretty cool.

I prolly should of asked before speaking to hitech, I asked them to hold of while I did some more research but the money has gone out of my account. A miss communication I could fix in the morning, but maybe I should just go with them anyway, every thing I've read about them is positive so far.

A bit of a gamble not having heard them in person though.

I have a single-tip Varex turbo-back system on my GC8 and couldn't be happier.
I do about 600kms a week, mixed between highway and city. For city driving the note is deep and pure UEL scooby goodness, but on the highway I close the valve and the car is quieter than stock, so no annoying drone...not that the system drones anyway it is just loud for long trips.
Also very handy for 5am starts to not wake up the wife/neighbours.
