Where to get replacement stub axle
Hi,
As im sure eagle eyed viewers can see i need a new one of these: http://imgur.com/a/7Vw3N It is from a jap spec MY04 sti, so needs to accomodate the bigger bearings that are available for this model (the 4186 kit from allied rather than the 4133 if that helps). I have done a quick google but am not sure where to try to get a replacement. Will subaru be best? Thanks for any tips |
Thats a 5x100 R180 rear hub and ABS tone ring. You will need a rear wheel bearing, and inner and outer bearing seal to replace it.
Could try one of the US subaru dealerahips (subarugenuineparts, subarupartsdepot etc) or try a local subaru dealership. Or somewhere like maximum motorsport. Or rising sun Subaru. Or even ebay. Id only recomend a genuine part for something like that. |
Thanks heaps for the post.
Having trouble on the US sites as they didn't have a model with the 5x100 R180 did they? No dice on ebay either, will stop by the dealer i guess. I have the bearings and only found this issue when they couldn't be pressed on. Hopefully this is the last piece of the puzzle! |
Try A-parts Malaga and Japline

They only had one model year with it before thier market went to 5x4.5". |
Ah cheers. so it looks like the part I am after is 28462FE001. 28462FE011 appears to be the 5x114.3. Is anyone able to confirm that for me? I am not 100% on this because all the parts diagrams showing only 1 wheel bearing being used with this part! And only available online from the US.. Thanks for the other options Nick.

try Nissan gts shafts with 180 subi splines never break.
better than those expensive USA axels that still break... they can handle 730hp atw no problem.... |
Is anyone able to confirmt the part # of the one I need is 28462FE001?
