Part ID needed

Hi all... can anyone id this part, some kind of chip on a friends '97 WRX, located on the front of the right strut tower. It has gold standard printed on it and the part# is unreadable.

Looks like maybe an ignition module / igniter? Fuck knows.

as above is correct
with map sensor & boost valve
