Mine never squeek.... try driving fast and braking hard because youve overcooked it a few times.

LOL Simon, I remember this clearly....the brakes werent the only thing pouring out smoke

240-0, 3 times in a row, is definitely a recipe for disaster all round..

Generally a more competition oriented pad will squeal to some degree.
Something like a Pagid RS4-2 can be quite bad whilst a Ferodo DS2500 will only occasionally squeal....but most will be noisy stopping in reverse.
If changing pads it would be a good idea to de-glaze your rotors either by sanding or have them machined. Also check that at least one of the anti squeal plates is intact.

You girls are all frilly blouse wearing wingers...

Drive hard and brake hard. Put a bag over your head if your embarresed about the squealing, chances are its your girly emotions overtaking you and your the one squealing!!!!!

Brake dust. Are we men or runway models ???? Buy black rims and problem solvered.

Yes you should be midly worried if your pads are on fire, unzip and piss on them if concerned. Beer helps too...

Grow some stubble and learn to spell testosterone, for now I'm off to find a nice pair of red stilettos for the weekend....

Turn up the stereo.

Its cheaper than floggin out what pads you have left.

Put different pads in next time.

I had this same problem when reversing. Try using a CRC product called Disc Brake Quiet. The noise might be coming from the back of the pad plate and the caliper. Put the stuff on the back of the pad and plate, hopefully that should fix it.
