Save the $ on something else, like silicon intake, ypipe
You won't feel much difference. this should be the very last mod you do

just make sure the belts are not specific to the pulleys
if they are, then if you to replace the belts later on, you might find that the oem belts may not be compatible

LOL wont feel it... bullshit.

My rex revs much cleaner with the pulley kit... and u can tell its making it easier on the engine to spin because it drops revs much quicker between gearchanges than with the super heavy subaru factory ones.

Grab some pulleys, safe, cheap, reduces fuel consumption by underdriving power steering and accessories and gives 5kw@wheels.

the belts with light weight pulley kits are shorter than the factory belts.

Simon - what other mods have you got? If this is the only mod you've got, you aint going to feel the 5kw atw difference.

you can get lighter pulleys that uses the stock belts
the GFB one comes with its own belts which are different to the stock

Mine are GFB and it definitely revs cleaner/faster than the new pulleys. It feels like your rev needle is spinning that little bit harder.

As to the durability of engines etc, all the fastest wrx's in the world are using pulleys. Look at any Rigoli Car and you will see them working away. I figure if it is used on 9 second wrx's then it must be o'right.

Plus the WRC cars can be seen to have lightweight pulleys on the front of the engine. No Rubber engine vibration damper there! just light metal pulleys like GFB ones.
