Some of you guys need to ask your bosses what you really cost him per hour???
To complain about the $90 ph labour charge is pure ignorance when you consider the workshop owner/ employer is paying for a premis, power, insurance and lets not forget the 9% super for the staff. If the price is to much dont bag the workshop.... go to Supercheap, or similar outlets and buy your parts and fit yourself.

Hey at the end of it, I dont really care anyway what workshops cost....99% of my work i DIY.
The reason? Because it ends up being better than 99.9% of the workmanship you'll find from some so called "shops" out there, and for the stuff I cant do, I'll happily pay ASG whatever their labour rate is. |

That's quite steep. I got a TBE, bigger TMIC, fuel pump and Tek3 purchased and fitted (inc. dyno time) for under $3500, and I think i'm making pretty good power.

it's obvious some ppl are comparing back yard DIY jobs and stock pricing vs that from a business who is there to make money and a profit. DIY is ALWAYS going to be cheaper.. duh ! (just ask Tode)

however doing DIY really makes you sikkk of cars!
its a lose/lose situation... lets all take our cars to joe he will do the work for us... and hes free seeing as he has finished exams :P |
