Default Car mod quote

I rang Maximum Motorsport this morning, trying to get an idea on what Im up for in regards to some work done on my car.
Heres what I was recommended. (and in order) for my car (MY02 WRX)

- 3 inch exhaust with hi-flo cat etc (sorry i cant remember other specs)
$1950 fitted
- Fuel Pump (50hp - I think it was, or Im remembering the wrong thing)
$385
- ECUTek tune Stage 2 $1595 (Stage 3 an additional $195 (dyno tune))

Total = $4125
His estimated power increase = Approx 25%

If details/description sound a little off, probably cause Im half asleep on pain killers at the moment, but you should get the idea.

Do the prices sound reasonable and is his power estimate sound about right?

or u could go Verso tune with 3" cat back zorst, for 1500 fitted and tuned i think was the last figure, and will get u better results than a tek2 tune ever will.

Only $195 on the dyno for tek 3??? That isn't much time to get it right. What exhaust system is it?

As joe says that amount of money is stupid. U are gettin ripped big time, like i've suggested, try a verso tune, it costs alot less and u will generally get much better results.

exhaust, $650+ from dylan. xforce is like 880 or something along those lines.

verso is under a grand tuned.

fuel pump you can get installed my sean when he tunes verso (you can get the pump off joe). and it will work out cheaper.

Man are you gettin ripped!!!!

I agree with chee.

Get a china spec exhaust from Dylan aka "rexwaggon" - $650
Cost of TBE install - $250 MAX
Verso Full Dyno Tune - $900
Fuel Pump - Walbro gss342 including WRX install kit- $170
Fuel pump install (20-30mins labour) - $80

TOTAL: $2050 - Half the price of MMS.

If your pretty handy with a spanner, you could install the TBE (bolt on) and fuel pump (walbro - bolt on) yourself and save another $300-$350.

No paying 1600 to get a generic map put on your stock ecu is a joke.

I do recommend on getting the MMS/RMS exhaust the fit, finish & quality shits over any china spec crap.

Its a peice of pipe that runs under the car. Is the fit finish and quality worth 3 times as much?
