Hell if you willing to spend 30k look around for an MY03 model. i picked mine up a year ago for 33k surely must be able to get one for around 30k these days...

30k With a trade in might get your hands on an 02 STi, maybe an 03 STi if you are lucky. My advice chase one of these as you will love the 6spd gearbox, stronger engine, bigger turbo etc. Just get a zorst and a retune and this will both inprove performance and fuel economy.
