brighter lights during thunderstorms
 

So a few of you probably noticed a nice thunderstorm this arvo.

I went for a drive and i couldnt help but notice that EVERY car had super bright white lights, even old beaters that really should have had yellow lights.

even their brake lights and indicators seemed very intense, and it wasnt even dark at this point.

am i crazy or is this some phenominon with the electrical charge in the air?

i woulda assumed it would have something to do with everything being a bit duller due to it being overcast. ie better contrast to lights

well thats just the thing, it wasnt even really dark at this point. and even the dash lights on my car seemed to be knocked up a notch.

also i wasnt the only person to notice. :)

i didnt say it was going dark, but on an overcast day, you can notice things dont seem to be as bright or shiny.
when i said dull, i meant as in opposite to shiny
meh i dont know, just an idea

Yeah, I noticed this too, I thought it was just my eyes playing up after a hard weekend on the turps :cool:

I noticed this too - every car looked like it had HIDs!

I saw Lewis in Subi - he has HIDs and his looked an insane intense blue colour!

definately some weird ass colours in the sky last nite. managed to take some pics with the car but black seems to swallow up all light. As for increased brightness in headlights, only thought that shit happened in america.. roswell comes to perth... yippee
