Shannons 13 46 46
Names I remember are Simon and Chris Dean but everyone there seems to be decent. Strong recommendation from me, but, I do not have experience of making a claim.

I hadn't insured a car since 1980, went to Shannons last year & they gave me a 60% ncb straight off with a list of mods a mile long & insured my car for nearly double what anyone else would.
Probably cos I'm an old fart with a clean record though.

you can get insurance with shannons if you are under 25.

ive been insured by them since I was 19 and thats before I worked for them and I was driving V8's before my jap car...

its more about the person not just the car you drive..

Yeh it seems with shannons it depends on who you get on the phone.

On the upside i got a friend of a friend that works at rac to help me out, 1300pa but only problem is they need to be assured that mods have permits? Im assuming this is the same with every insurance company so what are you guys doing in terms with permits?

Went to welshpool pits couple weeks ago and to get permits you need to fill out a form, send it to them, wait for mail on whether they agree to look at your car, then take car to pits and get permits if legal mods. Im guessing this is atleast a 3/4 week process which leaves me uninsured for that time?

Just car were very very good with my car. my car was only off the road for 6 weeks which i didnt think was too bad for $10500 worth of damage! they also didnt have a problem with putting the aftermarket parts back on that werent insured!

Shannons arent too bad, had my car insured with them before I turned 25

Currently insured with HBF, excellent service, cheapest premiums so far and the best part, unlimited mods so long as they are informed and they are street legal
Totally agree!!! I'm with them as well...

Hmm, i might have to try HBF, im with just cars at the moment and paying $1700 this year for my gtst skyline insured for $16000. Turbo back exhaust front mount cooler and pod filter are the only mods...

Sound resonable? Oh keeping in mind i wrote off an old corolla about 2 years ago, was only about a 2 grand car, thats my only claim.

Might still have to give HBF a call.
