Introduction to the forum...

Hi Guys and Gals,

My name is Tom and I have a few mates on this forum already driving scoobies... I gotta say they are such fun to drive and you are all very lucky people to own one yourselves!

I've read through the forum and the general page but couldn't find anything about sponsoring the forum so I thought I'd just throw up some information about me and my business as I'd like to get involved in perth-wrx.

I own a new business called GroupBuys.net.au (www.groupbuys.net.au). We specialise in running group buys for you guys. I've been supplying performance parts for years now and have run over 30odd group buys on another forum in the past.... I thought I'd let you all know what I can offer you forum members.... huge discounts on performance parts!

I think anyone who has organised a group buy before knows that it's a lot of work.... organising suppliers, collecting funds, contacting everyone involved (PM's, emails, phone calls, etc, etc...). It can be quite frustrating! My job is to do all the running around for everyone, all you have to do is tell me what product you want to group buy, I put it up on groupbuys.net.au and people can browse just like a normal online shop. I know many people are reluctant to enter group buys as there have been some "scamming bastards" stealing peoples hard earned cash in the past (excuse my french!). With GroupBuys.net.au being a registered comanpy (ABN: 96 158 508 756 [Sister company to Perth Z Performance]), you can be sure that you're money is safe and you are also invoiced for the product; for tax and warranty purposes.

Well that's all I need to say for now, I hope moderators don't mind me posting this in the introductory section however I didn't know where else to turn!!!! :) :D

If you guys are interested in anything, please give me a shout on info@groupbuys.net.au or phone (details on the website).

Thanks!

Tom

Sounds interesting but the link to your online shop doesn't seem to work. :(

Perth-WRX doesn't have any official sponsors.. because quite frankly its not an official club.

Each event that is run is paid for by the members - for events and the like sponsor can contribute and normally have their product listed in one way or another (like on t-shirts for motorvation etc)

Can contact Tuna who's currently in control of the site. By all means there is a workshop section you can advertise on etc

Welcome to P-Diddy!

I have had a few emails regarding wheels and tyres.... what tyre brands are popular with the WRX's?

Wheels may be hard to gather numbers, we'd probably need at least 20 wheels to get a decent price...

foglight covers for GC8??

20 wheels which is only 5 sets which would be pretty easy to get
buyers in for a good price or is it 20 sets which i think its not gonna happen!

If you had a group buy for Advan RS/RZ they would get snapped up
like hot cakes, just make sure you get 5x100 not the 5x114 for bloody
STi drivers :D
