New car, new member...

Hey all,

Just picked up a 07 WRX hatch, completely stock. Joined up to learn a bit more about what I've gotten myself into, and hopefully pick up a couple of tips along the way. Not a huge amount of experience with performance cars, all my tweaking experience so far has been with bikes rather than cars.

So, my first official newbie question is... what's the first things I should start doing to the new car in order to get a bit more out of it?

Thanks for any help!

Russ

Good quality 3in Turbo Back exhaust and a re-flash type tune, ECUTek or Verso.

A high flow fuel pump is a good reliability thing to do at the same time.

Welcome to perth-wrx. As far as modifications go I would suggest the following mods. Get yourself a a good quality aftermarket panel air filter which should cost you around $100, HKS, Apexi, or even K&N. Brakes and handling mods are good area to start first I reckon. Upgraded brake pads, larger sway bars (Cusco, Whiteline). Once you post pictures up here you will also see members suggest you should drop it lower. Lowering springs or coilovers if you have the $$.

:) Welcome!

as above...

exhaust, filter and tune...turbo cars like to breath...the easier you make it, the more performance you will get.

and...

no point having a rex if you can't hear the boxer rumble!!!

(boxer rumble > all)

:D
