Hi all as most of you are well aware i flew over the NSW to pick up a rex and this is what ive been impatiently waiting for....

http://img143.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=sany0850.jpg

Has done 139,000 and is in excellent nic.

Mods include

MRT Custom 3" TBE
MRT Cold air Intake
K&N Air filter
MRT 500hp fuel pump
ECUtek stage 1.5 dyno'd by MRT Sydney

so yeh, she go's :)

Future mods are pretty much limited to dark tint and putting the deck from my old car in with some apline type X splits/tweets and something for the rear. Have decided agaisnt getting it lowered as it handles just aswell as my 05 and it was lowered with strut bracing..ill be keeping the car till its death anyway so i dont want to be living with all the unavoidable scrap's over the years

Will be coming to a cruise one day and will see you all at a Whoop ass Wednsday this summer!

One question i have is about the 150,000 k Service the guy warned me he got quoted 1000bux so i was wondering what it includes...?

Strubaru 21-07-2010 08:40 AM

nice mate, looks like a clean example, i would personally be ditching the k&n filter for a nice free flowing paper or dry material one

150k should be the same as the 50k service.... (ie all oils/fluids, filters, plugs etc, pretty much everything but the timing belt).

The 50k service was anywhere from $650 - 750 from most workshops in Perth when I rang around about 10 months ago (stealerships & specialist workshops were on par....cost wise).

I take it you ended up driving it back? How was the drive?

Nah had it freighted back, was going to use annual leave that i didnt really want to and was starting to add up $$$wise.

Freighted back using AutoTransExpress and i recommend them to anyone who is thinking of doing this..car arrived unscathed with 400 Meters on the Trippo and it arrived early

so the service doesnt sound too bad then guess ill just do a ring around and supply my own fluids cheers for the info
