New Spektre to the forums

Hey guys and girls,

Just like to introduce myself. Craig is my name and have just bought my MY06 STi. Just pure standard at the moment as I am just learning about all the different things that can be done and should be done.

I have every intention to start using it every month at Barabagallo Raceway through No Limit Events as a driver training/timed laps in the Federal Street series. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to advertise here but i'm sure it will be deleted if i can't! Check it out if you are interested, or send me a PM if you want to know more.

Also, here are some pics of my new baby taken by my wife. She has been playing round with doing some street car photography and these are the results. Let me know what you think...

Nice car dude, they look good in silver, don't need to go wild on the engine mods, if you want longivity.
Suspension, some lighter wheels, the standard ones weigh a tonne.

Welcome mate and enjoy your stay.

Go team pignose!!! There's plenty of tried and tested combinations for your car and can be found using the search function but if there's anything you can find or isn't covered then don't be afraid to ask. :icon_thum

Thanks guys, just trolling my way through the long posts about exhausts at the moment as this will be the first thing on the list, but there seems to be alot of dribble and not alot of fact at the moment. New air filter (performance one? any recommendations?) and probably some new rotors in about 10k as they are a little bit like a old LP you put on a grammaphone at the moment...

All the mech checks were A1 and found out a doctor owned it before (with a NSX in the garage to drive on the weekends) from new... Good pickup i think..

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Nice, was this the STI at City Subaru for sale a little while ago?

Stock air filter replacement usually fine (stock airbox + filter is good enough for 200kw+ atw)

In any case, welcome! :D

Hey mate a TBE will require a tune on 06+ models otherwise the ecu doesn't like it and could cause engine damage, cat back is fine though.

I'm in the middle of getting my own branded TBE and CBE's with full titanium muffler made up.

Intro price of the TBE which is basically cost price is $750 or appx $630 for the CBE version and is made of the highest quality, these will go upto around $950 after introductory price and are ordered on an individual basis. (got x2 orders this week)

Otherwise there are plenty of eBay cheapies or the well known and locally made butler built exhausts which are around $1700-1800 fitted and are awesome exhausts with plenty of members using them.
